The Barrier requires a sound foundation on the sea bottom. Recommended is a concrete foundation beam to be fixed to the bottom by means of piles or anchoring. The Barrier itself can be preconstructed from steel or concrete. It is employable in shallow waters. It can be built on a sandy or even a flat rocky bottom. Under normal conditions, it is not visible and does not interrupt marine life nor shipping.
