Basalt is often used in constructions of dikes and ground works.

Basalt has a height specific gravity of 2,9 and is there for extremely suitable in this case to stabilize the ship on the sea bottom and to neutralize the high oil pressure.

Dump sufficient basalt blocks on and around the ship in a circle of about 250 - 350 m in a layer of about 5 meter. The thicker the layer the better they can withstand the high oil pressure.

Heavy basalt blocks should be preferable dumped through a shaft to and around the ship.
